Barron Storey

Barron Storey
is one of the most influential people that I have had the pleasure to talk to. He has been teaching for many years, and counts some of the top creators in comix as former pupils. Those that have had the fortune of being students of Barron, include, Kent Williams, George Pratt, Peter Kuper, Seth Tobocman, and many more. His new book, Life After Black
, is a reproduction of one of his incredible personal journals. It is an incredible testament to his talent, and well worth checking out.

I’m trying my damndest to figure out how to spell the name of the music composer at the start of the MP3 interview….Karl Heimstokhausen?
I like the music…oddly enough.
I think Barron Storey’s exwife from his Art Center College of Design days in the late 70’s early 80’s influenced his interpetation of the Despair Character…..Well, she’s his ex, so long time ago.
